Roswell, Georgia – January 24, 2011 – DynaSis, Atlanta’s premier provider of IT services and support for small and medium businesses (SMBs), announced today that their ITility by DynaSis hosted IT solution helped Atlanta based International food distributor Interra International maintain business continuity throughout last week’s snow and ice storm. ITility by DynaSis is a cloud-based solution that permits users to access all of their applications and data from any device. During the storm, this meant Interra was able to extend a seamless work experience to their employees even though they were stranded in their homes.

"It was the first time in my career that an event like this didn't shut us down", said Steve Isaf, Interra's president. "Our entire team was able to remain online conducting business.”

Interra’s worldwide operations span the European Union, China, Russia and South America. In Atlanta, 44 employees are responsible for duties ranging from sales and purchasing to logistics, accounting and administration.

While Atlanta and much of the southeast was covered in ice and snow, commerce came to a standstill for many businesses – for three long days. At Interra International, Atlanta-based employees were able to perform their jobs from home through their use of the ITility by DynaSis solution by DynaSis.

“We compete on a worldwide basis. If our competitors are working and we are not, we will lose market share,” continues Isaf. “Last week I was pleased to be supported by the DynaSis team who themselves were working remotely and in contact with us to insure our ability to operate."

ITility by DynaSis is a managed IT service designed for the small and mid-sized business that offers a complete IT services package using DynaSis infrastructure and the DynaSis data center to provide businesses with reliable service for a low fixed monthly cost.

“Small and medium firms are first attracted to ITility by DynaSis for its affordability,” states Dave Moorman, president of DynaSis. “Last week’s storms provided us with the opportunity to showcase and deliver on the promise of business continuity with our cloud-based solution.”

ITility by DynaSis provides users with direct access to all of their network data, files and applications over a secure Internet connection from DynaSis data center servers. Productivity applications like Microsoft Office and Exchange as well as line of business applications that may be unique or even customized to a client’s environment, can be accessed through the ITility by DynaSis customer web portal via their preferred web browser.

David MoormanWith the rise of many different devices like iPhone and Android, Windows isn’t the only player in the game anymore. It’s cool to be a Mac and we get that at DynaSis. Using ITility by DynaSis cloud based services, we can now offer clients the support they need no matter which platform they choose. ITility by DynaSis uses a web portal to access your company data, files, and applications, so as long as your device can access the Internet, you can get to your work. Best of all, it delivers the same experience on all platforms so you don’t have to re-learn how to use it on all your devices or install additional plug-ins to make it work. So whether you are a Mac or a PC, you can still access your data and work as seamlessly as ever.

Inherent to the cloud is its mobility. With office workers asking for more flexible work options, impacts on the environment, and winter storm interruptions, mobility is becoming a key component of any IT network. With the cloud, you no longer have to think of mobility as an after-thought to your existing network infrastructure, cobbling together systems that will allow your employees remote access. Instead, our ITility by DynaSis cloud solution gives your employees the ability to work wherever they are at anytime on any device that has an Internet connection. Mobility is already baked into the solution and doesn’t cost you anything extra.

The beginning of the new year is a great time to re-evaluate your IT strategy. The IT strategy is a living and breathing document. Not just meant to sit on the shelf in a pretty presentation folder, you should refer back to your IT strategy regularly to continually align your business goals with your IT infrastructure, as the IT capabilities you have often dictate the critical business information on hand to make successful decisions. Just like a budget, your IT needs change from year to year with the ebb and flow of your business. Evaluating it each year can help you locate areas to cut back on as well as areas that need attention to get you to the next level. DynaSis staffs IT strategy experts that will work with you to create and re-evaluate your IT strategy. Need help? Call us today.

David MoormanAs 2010 comes to a close, it may be a good time to take an inventory of your business successes over the past year. What goals did you meet, which did you miss? As I have stated in the past, DynaSis strives to help you meet your business goals leveraging technology as a tool. Having a plan is half the battle. If you don’t have one already, consider taking advantage of a strategic roadmap analysis. This year, I have seen clients flourish even in a down economy because they knew where they were going and they made the necessary changes to their IT to get there. The analysis helped to bridge the gap that existed between their IT and their goals, and laid out a structure for how to budget for the necessary changes.  An IT strategic roadmap may be just what you need so that this time next year the goals you met will outnumber those you missed.

Numerous studies and reports indicate that office mobility not only makes business operations more efficient and productive, but also benefits the environment, improves worker satisfaction and can minimize the effects of short-term business disruptions such as winter storms.

Join DynaSis for lunch at our Atlanta Data Center on January 26 when we uncover the risks and rewards of enabling an anywhere-anytime workforce, then we’ll share some of the practices that progressive businesses are putting in place to reap more from -- while spend less on -- their mobile workforce.

Complimentary lunch included.
